Concours Général Agricole des Vins in Paris 2025

The capital, Paris, is not only a place of culture, gastronomy, and fashion. It is also where our Savoie wines, with their unique character and ancestral know-how, shine in the spotlight. Yes, you read that right, our little jewels recently won two silver medals at the Concours Général Agricole des Vins in Paris 2025. A well-deserved distinction for our Jongieux white wine made from the Jacquère grape, and for our Jongieux red, a true tribute to Gamay. And that’s no coincidence.

Of course, our wines went to Paris to earn their medals, but they also enjoyed a breathtaking view of the rooftops of the capital, with Montmartre in the background (and a quick selfie to immortalize the moment). Because let’s be honest, who would refuse a little detour through the City of Light for a tasting that matches its aromas?

Jongieux, a wine that honors its terroir

The story of Jongieux is not just about grapes. It’s the story of a terroir, a passion passed down through generations. Our Jongieux white, made from the Jacquère grape, is one of those wines that transports you directly to the Savoie mountains. Far from the clamor of the world, it reminds us that nature, too, knows how to take its time to create the exceptional.

As for our Jongieux red, made from Gamay, it stands out for its finesse and freshness. This full-bodied, elegant wine, yet full of character, is the perfect companion for all your indulgent cravings. No need for a long speech: its ruby color and red fruit aromas will tell you everything.

But if you’re looking for a surprising and bold cuvée, you absolutely must discover the "Face à la Dent" cuvée.

"Face à la Dent": The wine with the soul of a giant

Here is our cuvée "Face à la Dent", an invitation to dive into the world of a singular wine, born from the Jacquère grape that honors our region. Located just opposite the famous Dent du Chat, this plot saw the vine planted by Matè, the third generation of the estate. And today, it’s Antoine, the seventh generation, who has taken the reins to give this unique wine a new dimension.

“Face à la Dent” is not just a wine. It’s an experience. A wine that offers you a rare minerality, structure, and elegance, while preserving the typical freshness of Jacquère. It’s not a wine for those afraid of surprises; it’s a wine that makes you travel with every sip. It’s perfect for pairing with a generous tartiflette, grilled fish, or even a simple conversation among friends by the fire. There’s such complexity in this wine that each tasting invites you to discover a little more of its terroir, like a story told with passion and precision.

And if you’ve never had the chance to see the Dent du Chat, know that our wine will introduce you to it, in a way, with every sip. If that’s not a good excuse to organize a getaway to Savoie, I don’t know what is!

Paris or Savoie, both are good for our wines!

So, the next time you open a bottle of Jongieux white or Jongieux red, or taste our bold cuvée "Face à la Dent", remember that these wines are not only beautiful awards, but also an invitation to discover Savoie, its terroir, and the spirit of those who have made winemaking an art. And while Paris remains the capital of medals, our Savoie remains the place for wine that warms your heart and soul.

Oh, and by the way, if you’ve decided to take your ticket to the capital... let us know! We might just be waiting for you on a rooftop with a view of Montmartre. But this time, we’re the ones buying the glasses!
